Keeping Manchester moving: GTM at Terminal 2

2025 is shaping up to be a standout year for GTM, with major projects underway across the country. From Manchester to Milton Keynes, Leeds to London, our teams are delivering vital transport infrastructure works while building strong partnerships to drive future growth.

One of our recent milestones is the successful completion of works around Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2, which handles close to 30 million passengers each year. In collaboration with our client AmcoGiffen, GTM provided full traffic management support for a complex programme of roadworks and pedestrian safety improvements near Junction 5 of the M56—one of the region’s busiest and most strategic motorway links.

Our role included designing and managing traffic systems to keep road users safe and disruption to a minimum—no easy task in such a high-pressure, high-traffic environment.

GTM has supported my career path

I started working for GTM in July 2021 as a traffic Management operative…I then got extra training and achieved my M3-M5 Lantra qualification, GTM has supported my career path and I gained my HGV class 2 licence. I was offered a supervisors role I took the opportunity and each day a boosted my confidence.

I have now being enrolled on a 2 year scheme to start my SHEQ role in Health & Safety. GTM is a place you can climb the ladder to better your career path.
