GTM was once again delighted to support Ashgate Hospice’s annual Sparkle Night Walk, by providing traffic management services free of charge to help ensure the event could take place safely.
Now in its ninth year of support from our team, the event has become a much-anticipated fixture in the community and brings together hundreds of participants to raise funds for the hospice.
Ashgate Hospice provides compassionate care and support for people across North Derbyshire living with life-limiting illnesses and helps individuals and their families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.
As an independent hospice, Ashgate relies heavily on fundraising, donations and community support to maintain its services and continue delivering exceptional care.
Last year alone, the hospice supported:
- 1,334 people in their own homes
- 341 people in its inpatient unit at Old Brampton
- 273 people through its day services
To support the Sparkle Night Walk, we supplied:
- 18 traffic management operatives
- 1 event manager
The team was responsible for coordinating road closures, local road restrictions and temporary traffic signals throughout Chesterfield which ensured participants could complete the route safely.
We are incredibly proud of our team for donating their time and resources to support such an important cause. We look forward to continuing our support of the walk for many years to come.
