Colleagues Take On 26 Challenges to Support Friend Battling Sarcoma

Two colleagues from GTM are pushing themselves to the limit in a year-long fundraising campaign to support a close friend living with a rare form of cancer.

Daniel Milner and Neil Buckle, alongside family and friends, have committed to completing 26 challenges throughout 2026 in aid of Sarcoma UK and their friend Aiden, who was diagnosed with sarcoma at the age of 26 and is currently undergoing treatment.

Determined to raise awareness and vital funds, the team has already completed an impressive programme of events. Their achievements so far include a charity rugby match, an 83-mile cycle ride from Leeds to Bridlington, the Leeds Marathon, a 30-mile walk from Leeds to Skipton along the canal, 72 holes of golf in a single day, and the Mega Breakfast Challenge. They are also more than three-quarters of the way through a virtual Land’s End to John O’Groats challenge.

However, the fundraising campaign is far from over. Later this month, the group will take on a triathlon, Tough Mudder, and host a charity auction as they continue their mission. Their efforts have already generated incredible support from friends, family and the wider community and to date, the team has raised more than £11,000.

With several of the events still to come, Daniel, Neil and the wider team are continuing to inspire others while making a meaningful difference for a cause close to their hearts.
